Minister Thistle congratulates Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro Corporation and the operations and clerical bargaining units of the IBEW on achieving these three-year agreements which will help ensure labour relations stability at this important provincial utility.

"My department remains available at all times to support business and labour in this province through facilitation and mediation where the parties desire our assistance," said Minister Thistle.

These new collective agreements, which expire on March 31, 2005, were reached with the assistance of Herb Ebsary, a mediator with the Department of Labour.
