Minister attending Federal-Provincial-Territorial meetings of the Ministers
Responsible for Social Services in Toronto

Ralph Wiseman, Minister of Human Resources and Employment, is attending the Federal-Provincial-Territorial meetings of the Ministers Responsible for Social Services in Toronto on May 30-31. This meeting will see the release of the National Child Benefit Progress Report: 2001 and the National Report on Employability Assistance for People with Disabilities.

The National Child Benefit Progress Report: 2001 describes the Federal-Provincial National Child Benefit (NCB) initiative to address child poverty and contains results on the impact of the program on low-income families.

The National Report on Employability Assistance for People with Disabilities represents the first opportunity to report to the public and the disability community on programs and services funded under the federal-provincial Employability Assistance for people with Disabilities (EAPD) initiative.
