Premier announces date for Bonavista North by election

Premier Roger Grimes announced today that the by election for the district of Bonavista North will be held on July 24, 2002.

"I urge all residents of Bonavista North to use the next three weeks to meet with the candidates and to exercise their democratic right to vote on July 24, " said Premier Grimes.

According to legislation, a by election must be called within three months of the effective date of vacancy.
