NOTE TO EDITORS

Government, labour and business leaders have scheduled a news conference for 2 p.m. Thursday, January 17, at Fairmont Hotel, Plymouth Room (lower level).

Premier Roger Grimes will speak on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Elaine Price, President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour, will speak on behalf of labour. Mike Wilson, President of the St. John's Board of Trade, will speak on behalf of business.

They will make an announcement concerning a new strategic partnership initiative.
