Environmental Assessment Bulletin

Environment Minister Ralph Wiseman has announced the following events relative to the Environmental Assessment Act.

UNDERTAKING RELEASED:

Forest Management District 18 - Five Year Operating Plan (Amendment)
Proponent: Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods

UNDERTAKING CONDITIONALLY RELEASED:

Amendment to District 9 Five Year Crown Operating Plan (Springdale Region)
Proponent: Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods

The minister has released the undertaking subject to the following condition:

  • that harvesting in Shoal Pond area proceed only within the boundaries of the reduced area as shown on the attached map. Harvesting must be restricted to this reduced area to protect the viewscapes from Indian River, the Winding Waters Park, the Trans Canada Highway, and existing legal cottages south of Indian River.
