Results of November 12, 2002, Conception Bay South District by election

The official addition of the votes for the November 12, 2002, by election in the Electoral District of Conception Bay South was completed by the returning officer, Sharon Clarke, 33 Kellivew Avenue, at 9:00 a.m.. on Friday, November 15, 2002. Ms. Clarke has certified the following votes cast for each candidate:

CORBETT, Gary - Liberal 950
FRENCH, Terry - Progressive Conservative 4,761
PRICE, Ann - New Democrat 73
           
Total Votes Cast: 5,784

In keeping with Sections 163(1) and 163(3) of the Elections Act, the returning officer will forward to the chief electoral officer the declaration of election of Terry French on November 28, 2002, 12 clear days following the official addition of the votes, for publication in the Newfoundland Gazette whereupon arrangements will be made to swear him in as the member of the House of Assembly for the Electoral District of Conception Bay South.
