Road improvement project announced for Humber East

Percy Barrett, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Bob Mercer, MHA - Humber East, today announced $75,000 to initiate construction of an emergency access road at Massey Drive.

"Residents will now have a second access to the Trans Canada Highway," said Barrett. "This is important in case it needs to be used for emergencies or as an alternate to the access currently being used."

"This road has been requested on many occasions by the residents of Massey Drive as an alternate access to and from the community. Its construction is long overdue," said area MHA Bob Mercer.
