Road improvement projects for Kilbride district
Percy Barrett, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, today announced government has allocated $230,000 for the rehabilitation of Heavy Tree Overpass on Route 2.
"We�ve allocated this year�s funding for the area to the Heavy Tree Overpass because we feel it is a priority," said Barrett. "This is a heavily traveled route and due to wear and tear on the 20-year-old structure, we need to replace the deck. If the work is delayed any further it may result in more substantial traffic interruptions in the future."
The department expects to call tenders for the projects over the next couple of months.
