Road improvement projects for the Straits and White Bay North

Percy Barrett, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, today announced $300,000 for road improvement projects in the Straits and White Bay North.

"We've dedicated this year's funding toward some much needed culvert replacement projects in the area which is critical to maintain the integrity of the road and prevent wash-outs," said Barrett. 

The department plans to replace the multi-plate structure at Triple Falls Brook; repair the multi-plate structural footings at Northeast Arm and Pinsent's Brook; and, replace a culvert on Route 430. The department expects to call tenders for the projects over the next several months.
