Road improvement projects for CBS

Percy Barrett, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and MHA Ralph Wiseman, today announced $310,000 in road upgrades for Conception Bay South.

"Following through on government�s commitment to upgrade local roads, I�m pleased to be able to announce these projects which will improve driving conditions for people in the area," said Barrett.

Projects planned for the area include resurfacing approximately two kilometres of Foxtrap Access Road; realigning and widening the intersection of Route 60 at Gulley Pond Road (Legion Road); and, replacing an arch culvert on the Foxtrap Access Road. The department expects to call tenders for the projects over the next couple of months.

"I am pleased these projects are being done this year, as these areas are heavily trafficked. The changes will provide safer access for residents," said Wiseman.
