Status of Ferry Operations

  • Bell Island-Portugal Cove: M/V Flanders completed two departures from Bell Island this morning. Because of ice conditions, it will remain in Portugal Cove until further notice. Air service has been initiated. Updates will be issued.
  • Little Bay Islands-Shoal Arm: Due to ice conditions at Shoal Arm, M/V Inch Arran will be operating to Pilley�s Island until further notice.
  • Fogo Island-Change Islands-Farewell: M/V Capt. Earl W. Windsor is operating but behind in schedule due to ice conditions. For departure and arrival times please contact terminals.
  • St. Brendan�s-Burnside: M/V Greenbay Transport completed only one round trip today due to ice conditions.
  • All other services operating on schedule.
  • We are encountering very heavy ice conditions all along the north east coast which is affecting ferry services and causing interruptions in schedules.
