Pepsi Pre-Bantam Girls Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association is hosting the Pepsi Pre-Bantam Girls Championships this weekend across the province. The championships will be happening in three regions: western, central and eastern. The tournaments will be taking place on Saturday, November 24 starting at approximately 8:30a.m.

In the western girls tournament, there are five teams participating in the championships: St. Thomas Aquinas, Pasadena Academy White, Pasadena Academy Blue, Presentation Jr. High and the St. James Flames. The tournament will be held at the West Coast Training Center in Stephenville.

In the central girls tournament, there are seven teams participating in the championships: Millcrest Blue and Millcrest Green; Grenfell Intermediate 1 and 2; St. Annes from Conne River; Bishop Falls Academy; and Gill Memorial Academy from Musgrave Harbour. The tournament will be held at Exploits Valley Greenwood Division in Grand Falls-Windsor.

The eastern girls tournament has eight teams registered to take action on Saturday: Immaculate Conception 6's and 7's from Bell Island; Sacred Heart Strikers Blue and White from Marystown; Beaconsfield Jr. High and I. J. Samson from St. John's; Amalgamated Academy from Bay Roberts; and Roncalli from Avondale. The tournament will be held at St. Augustine's Primary, and Immaculate Conception on Bell Island. 

The NLVA would like to wish all of the teams well in the tournament, and take the time to extend appreciation to Pepsi, the tournament sponsor again this year, who provides all the awards for the events.
