Newfoundland hoop teams in New Brunswick

Both the Men's Canada Games and Juvenile Ladies Basketball programs are competing this weekend in Saint John, New Brunswick in the Loyalist City Summerfest Invitational Tournament. This event will serve as an exhibition tournament prior to their main competitions in early August. Teams competing in the men's event include � New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I.. Manitoba, Maine Bombers, Maine Selects and the host team Saint John.

Teams in the ladies event include: New Brunswick. Halifax YMCA, New Brunswick U16, Nova Scotia and PEI. 

Both events commence Friday with the championship games scheduled for Sunday afternoon. The Men's Canada Games team will compete at the upcoming Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario, August 11-18 while the Juvenile Ladies will travel to British Columbia for the National Juvenile Championships August 4-11.
