NOTE TO EDITORS:

Tourism, Culture and Recreation Minister Kevin Aylward will participate in the opening of
Governor Davidson's St. John's, an exhibit of the Provincial Archives of Newfoundland and Labrador, on Friday, November 9, at 1 p.m. at the Colonial Building, Military Road, St. John's. 

Governor Davidson's granddaughter, Caroline Charles-Jones of Wales, will also present the governor's diaries to the Provincial Archives of Newfoundland and Labrador collection at the event.

Also participating will be the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and their band, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and the Royal Canadian Legion.
