NOTE TO EDITORS: Signing of Municipal Stewardship Agreements

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, Tourism, Culture and Recreation Minister Kevin Aylward will be joined by Tom Lush, MHA for the District of Terra Nova, to sign a Municipal Stewardship Agreement with the Town of Gambo. The signing ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. at the town hall.

At 3:30 p.m. the same day, Minister Aylward will also sign a Municipal Stewardship Agreement with the Town of Springdale at the Springdale town hall.

As a partner with Eastern Habitat Joint Venture, and through the Municipal Stewardship Program, the Inland Fish and Wildlife Division works with communities to conserve important wetlands within their jurisdictions. Through these agreements, the Towns of Gambo and Springdale pledge to become caring stewards of all wetlands within their respective boundaries.

All media are invited to attend both events.
