Provincial Girls Juvenile A, B, C volleyball tournaments

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association will be hosting three of 21 Pepsi minor provincial championships for the 2001 season this weekend on March 29 - 30. 

The Juvenile A Girls event will have eight teams competing for top honours in Clarenville, with all matches to be played at Clarenville High School. Division A is comprised of the following: CBS Sabres - Conception Bay South, Glovertown, Roncalli - Avondale and Lumsden. Division B is comprised of Discovery Collegiate - Bonavista, Clarenville, Ascension Collegiate - Bay Roberts and Exploits Valley High - Grand Falls-Windsor.

The Pepsi Juvenile B Championship will be held in Bell Island, with nine teams set to see action in two divisions. The top two teams will qualify for playoffs that are scheduled for late Saturday afternoon. Division A will be comprised of Bishop's College, Holy Heart from St. John's, Strikers - Marystown, St. Joseph's - Lamaline and Pasadena. Division B will be comprised of Islanders - Bell Island, Smallwood Academy - Gambo, Holy Spirit - Manuels and Lester Pearson - Wesleyville.

The Pepsi Juvenile C Championship will be held in Bay Roberts at Ascension High School and Amalgamated Academy, with 15 teams set to see action in three divisions. The top two teams from each division will qualify for playoffs that are scheduled for late Saturday afternoon. Division A will be comprised of: Ascension Collegiate - Bay Roberts, St. Pauls - St. John's, Random Island, Musgravetown and Christ the King. Division B will be comprised of Stella Maris - Trepassey, Summitt Volleyball Club - Clarenville, Pearce High � Burin, Southwest Arm and Indian River - Springdale. Division C is comprised of: CBS Sabres, Holy Cross - Eastport, John Burke - Grand Bank, St. Annes - Conne River and Stephenville.
