Labrador director elected

The Board of Directors of the Municipal Assessment Agency is pleased to announce the election of Councillor Terry Hancock of Forteau as the new Labrador representative on the board. Mr. Hancock was the successful candidate in a mail-in ballot to fill the recently vacated Labrador position. Board chairman, Randy Simms says: "The election of Mr. Hancock returns the board to a full complement of 12 members". The board is representative of the agency's stakeholders with six municipal representatives, two taxpayer representatives, two provincial government representatives and a representative from each of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Municipalities and the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Municipal Administrators. 

The Municipal Assessment Agency provides real property assessment services to 231 municipalities across the province.
