Air travel on domestic and international flights resuming

Municipal and Provincial Affairs Minister Oliver Langdon, minister responsible for the Emergency Measures Organization, announced that air travel on domestic and international flights is resuming at St. Johns, Gander, Stephenville and Goose Bay.

The minister advises passengers traveling on international flights to stay or return to their assigned accommodations where they can receive updated information on flight departures. Passengers will be transported to airports from their assigned accommodations as flights are cleared to depart.

Local travellers are advised to contact the airlines or travel agents.

Passengers are advised not to go to the airports to avoid congestion and confusion.

The minister stated that delays will be inevitable, however it is anticipated that some flights will depart today and he asks for support and cooperation as air travel returns to normal.
