$300,000 approved for Postville community centre

Torngat Mountains MHA Wally Andersen, on behalf of Municipal and Provincial Affairs Minister Oliver Langdon, is pleased to announce that $300,000 has been awarded under the 2001-2002 provincial Municipal Capital Works Program to construct a 2,400 square foot community centre in Postville.

"This new facility will provide residents of Postville a venue to host a variety of functions, such as recreational activities, meetings and social events," said Mr. Andersen. "The community has waited a long time for such a facility, and I am pleased to be able to secure the necessary funding to make it a reality."

Work is expected to begin on the new facility in early September.
