Province to resume negotiations with Inco
Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Mines and Energy, today announced that on Monday, June 18, the province will resume negotiations with Inco to develop Voisey's Bay.
"Government and Inco have been engaged in informal talks for some time. We now believe there is enough common ground to resume negotiations. Government will be entering into these talks with the view to reaching a deal that achieves maximum benefits for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians," said Minister Matthews.
A media blackout will be in place during negotiations.
