Collective agreements reached between NAPE and MUN

Labour Minister Anna Thistle is pleased to announce that three new three-year collective agreements have been reached between the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) and Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) bargaining units representing maintenance, custodial and campus enforcement, and patrol employees.

Minister Thistle congratulated both parties on reaching these agreements which will help ensure labour stability at MUN for the next three years. "My department remains available at all times to support labour and business in this province through conciliation and preventive mediation services," said Thistle.

The three new collective agreements which expire on March 31, 2004, were reached with the assistance of Herb Ebsary, a mediator with the Department of Labour.
