NOTE TO EDITORS:

Labour Minister Anna Thistle will hold a news conference on Thursday, December 6, at 11:30 a.m. in the Media Centre, Main Floor, East Block, Confederation Building. The minister will announce amendments to the Labour Standards Act, and will be joined by the president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Employers� Council, Marilyn Tucker, and the president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour, Elaine Price.

Officials of the Department of Labour will be available for a technical briefing on the changes to the labour standards legislation at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 6, in the executive boardroom, Department of Labour, fourth floor, West Block, Confederation Building.
