NOTE TO EDITORS:

Media who are planning to attend the Team Canada Atlantic mission to Atlanta, Georgia, May 13 to 17 are advised that they must be accredited by the Office of the Prime Minister.

Accreditation forms and RCMP security clearance forms are available by calling (709) 729-4570. Each media person attending is required to complete the forms and submit them by May 4.

Prime Minister Jean Chretien will take part in the mission � the first-ever trade mission to Atlanta, Georgia. Premier Roger Grimes and Industry, Trade and Rural Development Minister Beaton Tulk will also take part, as will representatives of 10 or more Newfoundland and Labrador companies.

This mission is being organized by the four Atlantic provinces, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Industry Canada, and the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters.

Information about the Newfoundland and Labrador delegation will be provided next week.
