Human Resources and Employment Minister reassures clients

Human Resources and Employment Minister Gerald Smith advises clients that social assistance cheques will go out before the extended Easter holiday weekend.

"Every effort will be made to ensure that clients have their cheques prior to the Easter holiday, and that also applies for those on direct deposit," said the minister. "Cheques should be received by April 12."

Clients are asked to call their local HRE office if they have further questions.
