Glovertown residents plead guilty to wildlife charges

Two individuals from Glovertown have plead guilty to several charges under the Provincial Wildlife Act and Federal Fisheries Regulations. Chesley Davis, 54 and Cyril Baker, 45 were given fines at Provincial Court in Gander last month totaling $7,600. In addition to the fine, a large quantity of moose, caribou, salmon and nets were forfeited to the Crown.

An additional charge relating to possession of nets near inland waters against Mr. Davis goes to trial in April.
