Premier, Ambassador and Minister to host volunteer thank you event

Premier Roger Grimes, Paul Cellucci, the United States� Ambassador to Canada, and Municipal and Provincial Affairs Minister Oliver Langdon invite the media to attend a recognition event in the lobby of Confederation Building, East Block at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13. Premier Grimes and Minister Langdon will join Ambassador Cellucci who wishes to personally thank Newfoundland and Labrador volunteers who helped stranded American passengers after the September 11 terrorist attacks.

On April 17, 2001, Ambassador Cellucci became the 20^th United States Ambassador to Canada. Previously, he had been both governor and lieutenant governor of Massachusetts, a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives and a member of the Massachusetts Senate.

Representatives from a number of groups who volunteered during the week of September 11 have been invited to attend.
