NOTE TO EDITORS: 4th Session of the Council of Atlantic Premiers

Premier Pat Binns will host and chair the Council of Atlantic Premiers meeting to be held in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on July 5. Premiers Roger Grimes, John Hamm and Bernard Lord will be in attendance. Premiers will focus discussions on priority issues for the Annual Premiers� Conference scheduled for August 1-3, in Victoria, BC, and on Atlantic cooperation issues.

The meeting will commence at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, at the Charlottetown Hotel, 75 Kent Street, in Charlottetown. A photo opportunity will be available at 10:00 - 10:10 a.m. in the Grafton Room. A news conference will be held in the Georgian Ballroom at 2:00 p.m. Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided during the news conference. News releases issued from the meeting will be distributed by each province�s communications office following the meeting.

The media working area will be located in Board Room 1 and will be available at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 5.

Media representatives planning to cover the meeting, including journalists, photographers, camera operators and technicians, are asked to register by submitting their name, affiliation and contact information to the address below by July 4. On-site registration will be available.
