Minister to meet with Quebec counterpart

Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Tom Lush will meet with his Quebec counterpart, Minister Joseph Facal, in Montreal tomorrow, March 23, to discuss issues of common intergovernmental interest to the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec.

"I look forward to meeting with Minister Facal and to initiate a positive, open and cooperative relationship with him," said Minister Lush. "In light of the positive working relationship our provinces currently enjoy, it is important that Minister Facal and I continue this effective relationship by working together to reach common goals that benefit both provinces."

The introductory meeting will provide the opportunity for both ministers to get acquainted and to initiate future discussions on issues of importance to Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador.
