Environmental Assessment Bulletin

Environment and Labour Minister Oliver Langdon has announced the following events relative
to the Environmental Assessment Act. In the case of documents received or approved, copies
may be obtained by contacting the regional office of the Department of Environment and Labour
or by calling toll-free 1-800-563-6181. Comments on submitted documents are invited from the
public, addressed in writing to the minister, and are welcome prior to the deadline date shown
for each item.

NEW UNDERTAKINGS REGISTERED:

Fleur de Lys Water Supply Development (Expansion)
Proponent: Town of Fleur de Lys

The proponent plans to develop an additional water body to increase the capacity of the existing surface water supply for the Town of Fleur de Lys. The proposed expansion is for construction of an above ground water line to transport water from a small pond located on Barry's Brook to First Pond where the intake for the Town's water supply is located. Construction will include installation of a power transmission line to operate the pumping portion of the added supply. The project is planned to begin in the early Spring 2001. The undertaking was registered on February 8, 2001; public comments are due on March 15, 2001; and the minister's decision is due on March 25, 2001.
