Environment Minister Ralph Wiseman has announced the following events relative to the Environmental Assessment Act.
UNDERTAKINGS RELEASED:
1). Grandy's Pond (Burin Peninsula) Cottage Development Plan
Proponent: Department of Government Services and Lands
2). Bull Pond Cottage Development
Proponent: Department of Government Services and Lands
3). Placentia Junction Cottage Development Plan
Proponent: Department of Government Services and Lands
4). Cape Pond Road (Tors Cove) Cottage Development Plan
Proponent: Department of Government Services and Lands
5). Amendment to Five Year Forest Operating Plan, District 16 (Taylor's Pond, White Bay)
Proponent: Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods
6). Snowmobile Trail (New-Wes-Valley to Gander)
Proponent: Newfoundland and Labrador Snowmobile Association
7). Amendment to Five Year Forest Operating Plan, District 1 (Mahers / Middle Gull Pond)
Proponent: Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods
The minister has released the above undertakings from environmental assessment in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Assessment Act, 2000.
8). Bears Cove (Bay Roberts) Cod Hatchery
Proponent: Newfoundland Aqua Ventures Inc
The minister has released the above undertaking from environmental assessment in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Assessment Act, 2000, subject to the following condition:
The proponent may proceed with the undertaking described in the registration document subject to any other act or regulation, however only on the condition of obtaining a development permit from the Town of Bay Roberts in conformance with the town's municipal plan. It is understood this will require an amendment to the current municipal plan
UNDERTAKING WITHDRAWN:
1) Bluff Head Big Pond (Random Island) Cottage Development Plan
