Environmental Assessment Bulletin
Environment Minister Ralph Wiseman has announced the following event relative to the Environmental Assessment Act. In the case of documents received, copies may be obtained by contacting the Department of Environment or by calling toll-free 1-800-563-6181. Comments on submitted documents are invited from the public, addressed in writing to the minister, and are welcome prior to the deadline date shown.

Roddickton Underground Salmon Pool Viewing
Proponent: White Bay Central Development Association
The proponent proposes a viewing platform and an upgraded walking trail to an underground salmon pool on Beaver Brook. The brook is a scheduled salmon river located 14 km from the Town of Roddickton, 5 km from the intersection of Routes 432 and 433. Project activities include upgrading 2.6 km of access road and construction of: 500 m of walking trail, 100 m of board walk, a viewing area around the underground pool and an interpretation site. The project was registered on May 29, 2001, public comments are due July 4, and the minister's decision is due July 13.
