St. Barbe and The Straits & White Bay North
by election - Results - January 30, 2001

The media are advised that the results of the St. Barbe and The Straits & White Bay North provincial by elections can be obtained from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer on January 30, 2001, after 8:05 p.m. or as soon as the results are received from the returning officers. Each returning officer will be reporting the first poll results received and then in increments of five poll results received. This information will be made available to the media as it is received. Please make arrangements for access to a direct phone line by calling 729-0712.

Alternatively, a room is provided for media representatives who wish to be present as the results are received at the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer located at 39 Hallett Crescent, St. John�s. Please confirm your attendance by noon Tuesday, January 30, 2001, by telephoning 729-0712.
