NOTE TO EDITORS:

On Wednesday, November 7, at 1:15 p.m., Education Minister Judy Foote will formally accept the donation of the book Young Authors' Day at Pokeweed Public School at MacDonald Drive Elementary. TD Financial Group is donating this book to all students registered in grade one across the country. 

The minister will also be attending the book launch of Susan Chalker Browne's Marconi's Secret, at the Marjorie Mews Public Library on Wednesday, November 7, at 3:30 p.m. Marconi's Secret is the first in a series of books by Ms. Browne which will focus on historical events in Newfoundland and Labrador. 

These activities are taking place in celebration of Canadian Children's Book Week (November 3-10), a national event which recognizes Canadian children's books and the importance of reading. Canadian Children's Book Week is organized by the Canadian Children's Book Centre (CCBC), with title sponsorship from TD Financial Group.
