NOTE TO EDITORS:

Education Minister Judy Foote will be attending the Canada Post 2001 Literacy Award presentation at the Delta Hotel today at 2:15 p.m.

The Canada Post Awards recognize both community and individual achievements in improving literacy skills. Canada Post has sponsored these awards since 1993, choosing winners in each province and territory across the country. The Literacy Development Council will also name the recipient of the Print Media Award, given to the an organization that displays excellent coverage of literacy events in Newfoundland and Labrador.
