Provincial road work contract awarded
Rick Woodford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and MHA Jim Walsh today announced a contract has been awarded for road work in the district of Conception Bay East and Bell Island.
A contract valued at $398,847.36 was awarded to Municipal Construction Ltd. of Mount Pearl. Work on this project will include upgrading and paving Bauline Line, Route 40-15 (km 0.9 to km 3.0) and Indian Meal Line, Route 20-16 (km 0 to km 1.0). Mr. Walsh said this job will be completed by September 30, 2000.
"These projects will help improve the infrastructure of the area," said Mr. Woodford. "The people who use these roads will certainly see a difference once the work is finished."
