 Government announces major road maintenance project

Rick Woodford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Kelvin Parsons, MHA for Burgeo and La Poile, announced today a new $400,000 road maintenance project for the district.

The project includes $250,000 to complete the upgrading and paving of various roads in the district, $50,000 to repair a steel multi-plate pipe near Isle aux Morts, and $100,000 to repair the old Marine Atlantic overpass in Port aux Basques.

Mr. Parsons said the project funding is a much needed investment in his district. "These projects will improve significantly roads in the district and provide general infrastructure improvements for the region."
