The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Provincial basketball championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will hold six of 34 Provincial Minor Pepsi championships this weekend, March 31 - April 1. A total of 44 teams will compete in the six events that will start on Friday and will conclude on Saturday evening with the championship games. Tournament sites and teams include: East Coast Under 11 Boys: host site - Goulds Elementary - Teams include St. Kevin�s and Hoopsters of the Gould�s, St. Edwards of Dunville, Placentia YBC, Mobile and Mount Pearl. East Coast Under 11 Girls: host site - St. Anne�s, Dunville - Teams include: Hoopsters and St. Kevin�s of the Goulds, Dunne Academy of St. Mary�s Bay, Mount Pearl Minor, Fatima of St. Bride�s and Placentia YBC. East Coast Bantam Girls: host site - St. Kevin�s, Goulds - Teams include: Roncalli of Avondale, Baltimore of Ferryland, MacDonald Drive of St. John�s, St. Kevin�s 6's, St. Kevin�s 7's and Hoopsters of the Goulds, Mount Pearl Junior High, Placentia YBC and Stella Maris of Trepassey. East Coast Bantam Boys: host site - Beaconsfield Jr. and Sr. Schools, St. John�s - Teams included are: Roncalli of Avondale, St. Paul�s, Beaconsfield, Brother Rice, I. J. Samson and MacDonald Drive of St. John�s, Dunne Academy of St. Mary�s Bay, St. Kevin�s 7's and St. Kevin�s 6's of the Goulds, Stella Maris of Trepassey, Mount Pearl Junior High and St. Peter�s of Mount Pearl, Mobile, Baltimore of Ferryland and Donald C. Jamieson of Salt Pond. West Coast Bantam Boys: host site - G. C. Rowe-Corner Brook: Teams include G. C. Rowe and Presentation of Corner Brook, Xavier of Deer Lake and St. Paul�s of Gander. West Coast Bantam Girls: host site - G. C. Rowe - Corner Brook: Teams include G. C. Rowe and J. J. Curling of Corner Brook, J. M. Olds of Twillingate and Xavier of Deer Lake.
