The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Pepsi juvenile A and B girls volleyball tournament

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association is hosting two more of the 20 Pepsi minor provincial championships for the 2000 seasons on March 24-25, with the juvenile A and B girls provincial championships.

The juvenile A girls provincial championship will have a total of eight teams. The teams will compete for top honors in Corner Brook at the following venues, Herdman Collegiate and Regina High School. The teams will be broken into two divisions with everyone advancing to the playoffs which are not scheduled until late Saturday afternoon.

Division A is comprised of the following; Humber Volleyball Club, Humber Volleyball MacDonalds Midget, CBN Diggers, Eastern Selects. These teams will be competing at Herdman Collegiate. Division B is comprised of; Humber Valley 2000, Pasadena, Exploits Valley Eagles, and CBS Sabres. These teams will be competing at Regina High School. The playoff games and finals will be held at Herdman Collegiate.

The juvenile B girls provincial championship will have a total of 26 teams. The teams will be divided into five divisions, where the top two teams from each division will advance, and also the best two records from the third place teams will advance.

Division A is comprised of; Loopers, Glovertown Eagles, Crusaders Juvenile B, Jane Collins Academy, and Trinity Bight Barons. These teams will be competing at Windsor Academy on Friday and Notre Dame Academy on Saturday. Division B is comprised of; Holy Cross, Eastport, Gander Collegiate, John Burke Buccaneers, Musgravetown High, and Bell Island Juvenile. These teams will be competing at Notre Dame Academy on Friday and Windsor Academy on Saturday.

Division C is comprised of EVH Eagles, Botwood, Kinsmen Strikers, Spartans Midget, Holy Spirit Falcons. These teams will be competing at Exploits Valley High-Maple Division both days.

Division D is comprised of Exploits, Holy Cross, St. Albans, Discovery Collegiate, Stephenville High, Summit Volleyball Club. These teams will be competing at Exploits Valley High, Greenwood Division Court #1.

Division E is comprised of St. Anne�s Eagles, Lakeside Lynx, LPM Astrol., Lumsden Eagles, Southwest Arm Tigers, and Torbay Tigers. These teams will be playing at Exploits Valley High-Greenwood Division Court #2. The playoffs and finals are scheduled to be played late Saturday afternoon at Exploits Valley High.
