Economic Policy Committee to visit Labrador Mines and Energy Minister Paul Dicks, chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of government (EPC), announced today that the committee will be making a two day visit to Labrador. This visit will begin at Blanc Sablon on Monday afternoon and include several communities along the Labrador coast. Other communities that have been included in the tour include: L�Anse au Clair, Point Amour, Red Bay, West St. Modeste, L�Anse au Diable, L�Anse au Loup and Forteau. EPC is the committee responsible for making recommendations to Cabinet on economic and resource policy matters. Other committee members participating in the visit include Minister Kevin Aylward, Minister Lloyd Matthews, Minister Oliver Langdon, Minister Sandra Kelly and Minister Ernie McLean. Minister Dicks said that it is necessary for committees like EPC to visit various regions of the province. "It is important for EPC to visit regions such as Labrador to see the progress being made and view opportunities for new initiatives," said Mr. Dicks.
