Justice Department verifies attempted suicide at Newfoundland and Labrador Youth Centre
The Department of Justice has confirmed that on Sunday, May 28, 2000, a female resident of the Newfoundland and Labrador Youth Centre at Whitbourne was taken to the local clinic following an attempted suicide. She is currently being assessed at the Waterford Hospital in St. John�s. The girl was not physically injured from the incident and her parents have been notified.
