NOTE TO EDITORS:
Justice Minister and Attorney General Kelvin Parsons will join members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for a cake-cutting ceremony officially opening Police Week Celebrations, at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2000, at the Justice Department, 4th Floor, East Block, Confederation Building. This is the second year the two forces have held joint celebrations. Police Week in the province will continue until May 20, 2000.
