Dennis Browne, Q.C. to represent department at PUB Facility Association hearings

Ernie McLean, Minister of Government Services and Lands, said today that Dennis Browne, Q.C. has been retained to represent his department at an upcoming Public Utility Board hearing on the Facility Association.

The Facility Association is a non-profit organization of insurers established under the Insurance Companies Act to provide automobile insurance to high risk drivers.

Mr. McLean said: "We have retained the services of Mr. Browne to ensure that the interests of the public and consumers are well represented at these hearings."

The PUB held two days of hearings on this matter on March 27 and March 28 and the hearing is scheduled to resume on November 30.
