Closed seasons for caribou - Labrador

Kevin Aylward, minister responsible for wildlife, reminds hunters effective midnight April 29, 2000 the caribou hunting season in Labrador will be closed in all management areas for which an opened season remains valid under the 1999/2000 Labrador Caribou Hunting Order. These areas include the following: Bay of Islands, Double Mer, Mulligan River, Grand Lake, Nipishish Lake, Seal Lake, Michikamau East, Michikamau West, Twin Falls, Colville Lake, McPhayden River, Milner Lake, Sawbill and Big River.

Minister Aylward also advises hunters effective midnight April 29, 2000 that the regular caribou hunting season in both the George River and Torngat Mountains Zones will also be closed for the season.
