Big Game Application Process

Kevin Aylward, Minister of Forest Resources and Agrifoods, responsible for wildlife, today announced that the big game application process has commenced. The minister reminds the public that the deadline for big game applications for the 2000/2001 hunting season is the close of business hours on Monday, March 27, 2000.

The minister said: "In order to qualify for a resident big game moose/caribou licence the applicant must be living in the province for at least six consecutive months immediately preceding his or her application for a licence. It is also illegal for a person to apply to advance in pool priority in the big game draw while residing outside the province."
