NOTE TO EDITORS:

R. John Efford, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Earle McCurdy, president of the Fish Food and Allied Workers Union (FFAW), and Alastair O�Reilly, president of the Fisheries Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (FANL) will hold a joint news conference this morning (Friday, June 16) at 10:30 a.m. to respond to the yesterday�s announcement by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to allocate a Northern shrimp quota to Prince Edward Island. The news conference will take place in the main boardroom of the Provincial Fisheries Building, 30 Strawberry Marsh Road.
