NOTE TO EDITORS:

John Efford, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, will be available to the media at 11 a.m. today (February 8) in the Executive Boardroom of the provincial fisheries building, Strawberry Marsh Road, to respond to statements made recently by Opposition Environment and Industry critic Tom Osborne that high levels of bacteria are threatening aquaculture potential in the province. Minister Efford will also respond to the federal government�s decision to appeal a Newfoundland Supreme Court of Appeal decision on the sale of blueback seals.
