Opening date for House of Assembly announced
Government House Leader Tom Lush announced today that the fall session of the House of Assembly will run from December 4 to 15, 2000.
"The leaders of both opposition parties have been consulted, and we have all agreed to these dates," said Mr. Lush. "Because the parliamentary calendar has been shortened by two weeks, the three parties will discuss the time frame required to address the legislative agenda, and if necessary, open the spring session earlier than stated under the current rules."
