NOTE TO EDITORS:

Premier Beaton Tulk and officials of the Provincial Command of the Royal Canadian Legion will participate in the annual "Fly the Flag of Remembrance" ceremony on November 1 at Confederation Building (East Block). The ceremony will honour the memory of those who died in the service of their country in all wars.

Premier Tulk said the Flag Raising ceremony, together with the Remembrance Week activities, will provide a unique opportunity for the public to remember the courage, devotion and sacrifices of those whose lives were lost in the world wars and the Korean Conflict.

Bill Titford, Royal Canadian Legion Command Remembrance Chair, said the Flag Raising ceremony will commence at 12 noon. It will feature the traditional March on the Colours and performances by the Singing Legionnaires. The ceremony will also serve as a kick-off for Remembrance Week through the province, which will be observed from November 1 to November 11.
