Premier appoints acting ministers

Premier Beaton Tulk today appointed acting ministers to the Department of Education and the Department of Development and Rural Renewal.

Minister Lloyd Matthews will assume the post of Minister of Education (Acting). Minister Ernie McLean will become the acting Minister of Development and Rural Renewal.

"It is important to ensure that these departments are well served in the coming months," said Premier Tulk. "I have determined that my priority at this time must be the job of leading the government, and am sure that Education and Development and Rural Renewal will be well served by Ministers Matthews and McLean."

Both appointments are effective immediately.
