NOTE TO EDITORS:

Ernest McLean, Minister Responsible for Labrador, will host a federal/provincial/territorial meeting of Northern ministers September 26-28 at the Aurora Hotel in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Federal Indian and Northern Development Minister Robert Nault will attend the meeting along with other provincial and territorial ministers and senior officials.

The meeting will focus on social and economic development issues and intergovernmental cooperation as it affects northern development. Minister McLean and his colleagues from across the country will hold a news conference on September 27 at 4:15 p.m. at the Aurora Hotel to discuss the outcome of the meeting.
